Day Support and Respite Care

Clients, including those with mild to moderate dementia, spend the day with us. Activities are based around individual skills and needs to ensure they get the most out of their time with us, in comfortable surroundings and feel safe and relaxed.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICE

Our staff are fully trained with enhanced DBS checks in place. It costs £35 a day including lunch.

A typical day includes:

Coffee / tea & biscuits on arrival, sharing news, games (Word Wheel, Picture Bingo & Dominoes), chair exercise, singing for fun, quizzes & puzzles, arts & crafts, reminiscing & therapy dogs.

Why I Volunteer

“Volunteer driving is a lifeline for me. My wife died last summer, and for a time I was lonely and bereft. I was welcomed with open arms by VASA and I now drive 3 times a week. This is a vital service for the community which has made a huge difference to my life!”
