Book an Assessment

We offer individual assessments for FREE for our activity programmes and they are based around an individuals skills and needs to ensure they get the most out of their time with us and are comfortable, feel safe and relaxed.

For us a successful day is one in which all our clients have had positive experiences and feel happy to return.

If you’d like to speak to us about your loved one attending one of our day services, please write to us at or call Kirsty Holder on 01789 777986.

It often helps to visit a group together to see how you feel about joining us. Seeing what activities are offered and meeting the people who work in the group really helps.

How Many Attendees in Each Day Services Group?

Some of our smaller groups can only accommodate 12 people others up to 20. It depends on the need in the area and the size of the accommodation we have chosen. We also like to give clients our full attention so having a big group isn’t always best for the clients.

Can someone with Dementia attend Day Services?

Yes. We welcome people with dementia too. As we assess each clients needs, we can ensure that their days with us are fulfilling and enjoyable. We do have dementia day services and will increase the number of them if there is the need.

How much do VASA's day services cost?

Most day care services will only offer respite for around 2 hours. This doesn’t give a carer much time to shop, visit friends or simply spend a day at work or just relaxing.

We believe carer respite should enable a carer to enjoy a day off so we offer up to 6 hours in a day for £35 if you book more than 2 sessions, £40 for a single session.

This includes a freshly cooked, 2 course lunch and all refreshments while a client is with us. It also enables us to hire good staff and train them too. Speak to us about whether you can claim this cost back.

What activities do you offer during the session?

Activities depend on the individuals attending.  We try to tailor it to their own requirements but also offer group activities like singing, gardening, yoga, music, baking and games.

Are the staff fully trained?

Yes, our fully trained staff are DBS checked and offer assistance with personal care and medication.  Trained volunteers support and assist the staff on duty.

How do we get to the day services groups?

VASA is well known for providing community transport for .45p per mile.  Talk to the Day Services Manager or call us on 01789 262886 we can arrange a car to take you there and back.

Our community transport has been going for over 30 years now and our drivers are DBS checked.
