What kind of opportunities are there?

There is a huge variety of volunteering opportunities on offer - voluntary organisations and community groups are always looking for help.

Here are some examples of how you can make a difference

- helping a child to read
- teaching a disabled child to read
- supporting a young person in crisis
- helping at a play group
- helping at a youth club
- driving a minibus
- taking people to hospital appointments in your car
- helping at a day centre
- laying tables, washing up or cooking at lunch clubs
- giving relief to a full time carer
- befriending someone in need
- raising funds for an organisation
- helping a group with admin or computing
