Cabinet Office of the Third Sector
As part of the Cabinet Office, the Office of the Third Sector (OTS) leads work across government to support the environment for a thriving third sector (voluntary and community groups, social enterprises, charities, cooperatives and mutuals), enabling the sector to campaign for change, deliver public services, promote social enterprise and strengthen communities. The OTS was created at the centre of government in May 2006 in recognition of the increasingly important role the third sector plays in both society and the economy.

NCVO (National Council for Voluntary Organisations) is a lobbying organisation and represents the views of its members, and the wider voluntary sector to government, the European Union and other bodies.

Regional Action West Midlands (RAWM) produces regular briefings and newsletters to inform the sector about key issues, impact and opportunities to get involved in regional decision making. RAWM also commissions or undertakes research and organises and promotes events which provide a platform for the sector get together and directly speak for themselves, often directly to policy makers.
