Volunteers at the VASA lunch clubOur Plan For Community Development In Stratford District Is Really Coming Together!

We opened our new lunch club in Wellesbourne yesterday!  It was well attended with really good, wholesome food enjoyed by everyone. (I think there were a few volunteers enjoying a bite too!)

Fourteen attended and say they’ll be back for the next one!

Wellesbourne, like many other towns and villages in Stratford District has a high % of over 65’s in the population and, for many, getting out and about is difficult. It’s not just transport or health issues, it’s about where to go and what it will cost as well. Lunch clubs provide a safe, enjoyable way for residents to meet, make friends over a good meal that’s affordable from a trusted provider.

Orbit Homes provided the venue – Lawrence McKie House – in Wellesbourne which is a lovely, welcoming place for a lunch club and other activities. If you would like to attend one of our lunch clubs, please get in touch with Sam@vasa.org.uk or call us on 01789 262889

We’re aiming to set up lunch clubs throughout the Stratford on Avon District, Warwickshire this year. If you’re looking to volunteer, get in touch.
