Nadhim Zahawi visited Voluntary Action Stratford on Avon District – VASA on Friday, 21st July to find out more about the charity’s services.

Nadim Zahawi MP visiting VASA in Stratford upon AvonHe showed great interest in the way we have developed our volunteer led community transport service and encouraged us to seek more ways to expand our service to offer more residents access to community transport.  During his visit he met Sam McNaught-Barrow who sets up and manages activity groups, Kirsty Holder – Head of Services at VASA with a specific remit to develop carer respite day services in the area, Kim Walker – Community Transport Manager, Alison Gravesend – Transport Co-ordinator, and CEO – Jane van Velsen as well as a number of volunteers working in the office.

“We’re only sorry we didn’t get a photograph of Mr Zahawi with the telephone headphones on. We have invited him to come in and man the phones for a morning though!”
