Unwanted (unsold) food from supermarkets – and what happens to it – has been a subject across every news channel and featured in several documentary programmes over 2015.

This is an article from The Independent about how Morrisons have responded to this issue and they are now looking for community groups to make regular donations to.

Our suggestion is if you think you could make good use of this offer, to visit your nearest Morrisons Store and ask to see the Store or the Community Manager.

Please let us know how you get on and if you want any support in developing a business plan, as part of your approach (to show the company how you will use the donated food), then please contact David Morgan (Fundraising and Development Officer) here at VASA – tel 01789 298102 or e-mail david.morgan@vasa.org.uk
