Volunteers are needed for the following roles:

Voluntary Action Stratford-on-Avon District – Volunteer Drivers.  Do you have the time, care and patience to become a Volunteer Driver?  This essential service provides transport to hospitals, doctors and day centres, and is a lifeline to many people.  An allowance of 45p per mile is paid for authorised journeys.

Springfield Mind – Breakfast Club Volunteers.  Supporting people aged 50+ who are experiencing low mental wellbeing and mental ill health, the club will take place at Stratford Job Centre every Wednesday, 10.00am to 12.00pm, starting on 11 November. Volunteers are needed to get involved with all aspects of running the club.

Warwickshire Vision Support – Rota Co-ordinator for the Alcester/Studley area.  Help is needed to organise a small monthly rota for volunteers to visit partially impaired people in their own homes, and to send out letters to clients advising of forthcoming visits.  Good communication and administration skills required.

Compton Verney – Meet and Greet Volunteers.  With the new Welcome and Interpretation Centre being built, volunteers are needed to receive visitors and help them to purchase tickets, provide information on what’s on and prices, and generally to provide a high quality experience that visitors will want to repeat.

Cards for Good Causes Shop – Shop Assistants.  Selling Christmas cards on behalf of many national and local charities, the shop, which is located upstairs in Stratford Library, is looking for volunteers between now and mid December.  Days are divided into morning and afternoon shifts and volunteers usually work in pairs. 

The Parenting Project – Parent Mentor.  You will need to be able to listen and encourage in a non judgemental manner, enabling parents to build their confidence and engage with wider community services. Commitment 2-3 hours a week for a minimum of six months. Desirable to have parenting or caring experience.
