Volunteers are needed for the following roles:
Voluntary Action Stratford-on-Avon District – Volunteer Drivers. Do you have the time, care and patience to become a Volunteer Driver? This essential service provides transport to hospitals, doctors and day centres, and is a lifeline to many people. An allowance of 45p per mile is paid for authorised journeys.
Spinal Muscular Atrophy Support UK – Bucket Collectors at the Bulldog Bash. On 6 and 7 August the charity will be collecting vital funds at the annual motorcycle rally. Volunteers are needed to collect donations, working alongside the charity’s staff members. Help is needed 10.00 to 12.00 and 3.00 to 5.00, both days.
Escape Community Arts – Company Secretary. One of Stratford’s most prestigious charities is looking for a volunteer Company Secretary to ensure compliance with company and charity requirements. The volunteer will need a sound knowledge and experience of matters relating to company and charity law.
Shakespeare Birthplace Trust – Survey Volunteers. Volunteers with good people skills are needed to engage with visitors to complete paper or tablet based surveys. The Trust has a target of completing 350 surveys. Volunteers will wear their own smart clothing. A regular commitment of 2 hours or above would be ideal.
Stratford District Scouts – District Secretary. A volunteer is needed to support the Executive Committee with the smooth functioning and sound administration of the Scout District. Key duties will include minute taking, record keeping and collating reports. The volunteer will need to be a team player with good IT skills.
Stratford SCAN – Treasurer. Senior Citizens Action Networks are local groups specifically for older people, meeting six times each year. The Stratford SCAN is looking for a Treasurer to hold the accounts for the group. The Treasurer will maintain simple accounts and present these at network meetings and the AGM.
