Volunteers are needed for the following roles:

Voluntary Action Stratford-on-Avon District – Volunteer Drivers.  Do you have the time, care and patience to become a Volunteer Driver?  This essential service provides transport to hospitals, doctors and day centres, and is a lifeline to many people.  An allowance of 45p per mile is paid for authorised journeys.

Futures Unlocked – Volunteer Mentors.  Volunteers are needed to provide practical, emotional and spiritual support for individuals preparing for prison release.  As a mentor you will visit a service user whilst in prison and then provide ongoing support upon their release.  Full training will be given.

Stratford Historic Buildings Trust – Administrator.  Are you interested in the preservation of historic buildings in Stratford?  An administrator is needed with good computer and interpersonal skills, to help the Trust’s work in conserving and restoring historical buildings.

Sunny Side Up – Teaching computer skills to the over 60s.  Providing computer skills to older people in care and retirement homes, volunteers are needed to help teach activities such as email use, internet use, online security, photo editing and storage.  Sessions currently take place in Stratford on a Thursday afternoon.

Integrated Disability Service – Activity Support Volunteers.  Can you give some time to support children with disabilities?  Volunteers are needed to help at a residential centre where children stay overnight or weekends to give parents a short break. The centre welcomes volunteers with diverse skills and life experiences.

Warwickshire Vision Support – Home Visitors in Alcester/Studley.  Volunteers are needed to visit blind and visually impaired people in their own homes to help read correspondence etc. and for a chat and cup of tea.  Visits usually last for one to one-and-a-half hours and the frequency varies depending on the client.
