Volunteers are needed for the following roles:

Voluntary Action Stratford-on-Avon District – Volunteer Drivers.  Do you have the time, care and patience to become a Volunteer Driver?  This essential service provides transport to hospitals, doctors and day centres, and is a lifeline to many people.  An allowance of 45p per mile is paid for authorised journeys.

Stratford Town Football Club – Various rolesAfter celebrating recent promotion success the club is looking for new volunteers to help with maintenance, gardening, groundwork, fundraising and match stewarding.  Any gardening, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, training or maintenance skills would be useful, but not essential.  

Shottery Youth Theatre – Assistant Choreographer and Props Making Assistant.  A choreographer is sought for the production of a Christmas show, putting together and teaching dances to children and young people.  A props maker is needed to bring life to productions, constructing props, setting and striking the stage.

Bidford Community Library – Volunteers.  Run entirely by volunteers as a social enterprise, the library is looking for additional help.  Counter Volunteers are needed to issue and return borrowed items.  Fundraisers are needed.  Suitably experienced volunteers are needed for Story Time sessions for pre-school children.

Healthwatch Warwickshire – Enter and View Authorised Representatives.  Volunteers are needed to participate in Enter and View activities for health and social care services.  The role will include preparing for visits, undertaking visits with 2 other Authorised Representatives, reporting and following up visits.

Marie Curie Cancer Care – Local Fundraising Group members.  Providing a network of nurses for end-of-life care for patients in their own homes, Marie Curie is searching for fundraising group members.  The group organises collections, fundraising events and generates support for the charity’s work in the community. 

Heritage and Culture Warks – “Our Warwickshire” Duty Editor.  “Our Warwickshire” is an online celebration of the history and culture of Warwickshire.  The Duty Editor role would be ideal for anyone looking for editorial experience, or maybe building up a portfolio leading to a career in online journalism or web publishing.

Compton Verney – Meet and Greet Volunteer.  Volunteers are needed to provide a friendly and reassuring welcome to visitors arriving in the car park, direct visitors to parking spaces, provide information on where to purchase tickets, prices and what’s on at the gallery.  You’ll need to be physically able, versatile and flexible.

Warks Vision Support – Southam Organiser/Leader.  An Organiser/Leader and helpers are needed for the club that meets alternate Wednesday afternoons at the Congregational Church on Wood Street.  Duties will include meeting and greeting, serving refreshments, assisting with trips and outings.  Support and training provided.
