Volunteers are needed for the following roles:

Voluntary Action Stratford-on-Avon District – Volunteer Drivers.  Do you have the time, care and patience to become a Volunteer Driver?  This essential service provides transport to hospitals, doctors and day centres, and is a lifeline to many people.  An allowance of 45p per mile is paid for authorised journeys.

Shakespeare Birthplace Trust – Dementia Coordinator.  The Trust is looking for volunteers to help ensure that New Place is accessible to people with dementia, and to be a champion for diversity within the organisation.  Specific duties will include the creation of training materials for access workshops, assisting in the delivery of workshops and helping to deliver activities as part of Dementia Awareness Week 2016.

Springfield Mind – Food for Thought Project Assistants.  The Food for Thought Project aims to encourage and support individuals experiencing mental ill health to understand how they can improve their health through a healthy diet.  Volunteers are needed to help the qualified dietician who will lead sessions.  After the sessions participants will enjoy the meals they’ve prepared, giving an opportunity for peer support and socialising.

HOST – Christmas Hosts.  Give the gift of Christmas!  Hundreds of adult international students studying in the UK will be facing lonely Christmases.  Invite one or two students into your home for four days over Christmas, learn about their culture, show them the local area and invite them to experience your home life.

Escape Community Arts – Company Secretary.  One of Stratford’s most prestigious charities is looking for a volunteer Company Secretary to ensure compliance with company and charity requirements.  The volunteer will need a sound knowledge and experience of matters relating to company and charity law.
