Volunteers are needed for the following roles:
Voluntary Action Stratford-on-Avon District – Volunteer Drivers. Do you have the time, care and patience to become a Volunteer Driver? This essential service provides transport to hospitals, doctors and day centres, and is a lifeline to many people. An allowance of 45p per mile is paid for authorised journeys.
Breast Cancer Campaign – Regional Group Member. New group members are needed to get involved with a variety of activities including fundraising events, liaison with corporate partners, supermarket collections, presentations to schools and groups and campaigns in the local area.
Entrust Care Partnership – Out and About Befriending Volunteers. Volunteers are needed across Warwickshire to support disabled children and younger people with activities of their choice. Examples of activities include attending a uniformed group, joining an after school club or participating in a sports session.
Springfield Mind – Various Roles. Fundraisers are needed to raise money in the community, research grant funders and talk to local businesses. Office volunteers are needed to help with admin tasks and answering the phone. Hub volunteers are needed to provide a safe and welcoming place for people with mental ill health.
The Shakespeare Hospice – Shop Volunteers. The Hospice is looking to recruit more volunteers across its retail operation, but especially in the Stratford Greenhill Street shop. Volunteers work half day shifts, either morning or afternoon. Duties include sorting and preparing donations, pricing and serving customers.
Warwickshire Children and Voluntary Youth Services – Office Administration Support. Help is needed to support three areas of activity: marketing, fundraising and general administration. One of the major admin tasks is preparing resources for training sessions/conferences. Full training and support will be given.
Compton Verney – Teeny Weeny Wednesdays Volunteers. These new weekly sessions give families the opportunity to visit the gallery and enjoy activities put on specifically for them. The role will involve setting up play equipment, welcoming families, keeping the environment safe and clean and tidying up afterwards.
PHAB Stratford – Club Organisers and Volunteers. Are you keen to ensure disabled and able bodied people are included on equal terms in the community? Help is needed to run the Stratford club and provide a diverse programme of activities including arts and crafts, quizzes, games, days out, nights out and so on.
Stratford District Scouts – Young Leaders. Stratford Scouts are looking for 14 to 18 year olds to join the team as Young Leaders. You’ll need to be an Explorer Scout with a desire to help younger sections. In return you’ll get huge satisfaction, have fun, receive great training and acquire invaluable leadership experience.
Wesley Baby and Toddler Group – Volunteers. Help is needed at the sessions running on Wednesday and Friday mornings at the Methodist Church Annex in Old Town. The role will include welcoming parents and carers, playing with children, preparing refreshments and getting involved with various activities.
South Warks. Volunteering Forum – Coordinator. Providing support and training to volunteer-involving organisations, the Forum is looking for someone to organise steering group meetings, training sessions and networking sessions, and maintain a membership list. Good administration and organisation skills required.
Age Concern Shipston and District – Lunch Club and Excursion Volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help at the lunch clubs taking place on Tuesdays and Fridays at Stour Court, and Thursdays at Rainbow Fields. Volunteers are also needed to help with the monthly excursions that take place during summer months.
