Sport Relief 2016: Do Yourself Proud!

The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is approaching fast!
The Stratford-upon-Avon event will take place on Sunday 20th March. Loads of local people have already signed up to run one, three, or six miles, but there’s still time to bag a place and do yourself proud!
This year’s Mile will take place at Stratford-upon-Avon Recreation Ground with everyone meeting at the Sports Pavilion for the 3 & 6 mile runs at 10.30am and the 1 mile run at 11.15am. The route will take in the path around the sports pitches and beside the River Avon, with views of Holy Trinity Church and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. The finish will be in the sports field near the start area.
The entry fee is the same for each of the runs; £7.00 for adults, £3.00 for Under-16s and £17.00 for a family (2 adults, 2 Under-16s).

Cord: The Great North Run 2016

Sunday, 11th September 2016, 8.00am – 5.00pm, Newcastle Upon Tyne

The Great North Run, broadcast live on the BBC, sees thousands of runners take on the half marathon challenge every year. Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne the 13.1 mile course is lined with supporters all the way from the iconic Tyne Bridge, right out towards the coast in South Shields.
Local organisation Cord have 12 charity places available to run the marathon, with registration costing just £35.00. Their team of fundraisers will be with you all the way from helping you sign up and providing all the fundraising support you need to supporting you on the day and meeting you at the end with smiles and goodie bags galore.
