WCC Adult Health & Community Services Consultation

Warwickshire County Council’s Adult Health & Community Services’ directorate have recently refreshed their learning disability strategy to ensure that the changes required through central government’s Personalisation Agenda are delivered locally.

What does this mean

There will be some changes to the way services are delivered in Warwickshire.  We recognise that some people are not keen on change but we intend to work with them and make sure that everyone is well supported.  Importantly, people with a learning disability and their families will, for the first time, be able to make informed choices, have control and decide what and where services will be delivered.

Consultation Process

The Customer Engagement Team will be undertaking a three-month consultation with customers, carers and relatives. It will start on Monday 28 February and finish on Friday 27 May 2011. The outcomes of the consultation will be presented to Cabinet on 16 June 2011.
