Added on Thu 22nd Sep 2011 by Charles (Lead Officer)
The Museum of British Folklore is a new cultural venture dedicated to promoting the many living folk traditions taking place today. The Museum is organising a series of exhibitions at museums and art galleries, including Compton Verney, and a series of pop-up exhibitions at regional locations.
It is for one of these pop-up exhibtions that volunteers are needed, at Stratford Civic Hall between 3rd and 28th October.
Tasks will include welcoming visitors to the exhibition, giving information on the artworks, folklore and the museum, opening and closing the exhibition each day and ensuring that the sale of merchandise is processed via the Civic Hall Box Office.
Volunteers will need to be over 16 years of age and a CRB check will be required.
