UK National Older Person Strategy

The aim of this strategy is to provide guidance and support to Fire and Rescue Services and their partners to enable them to rise to the challenge of keeping the older and more vulnerable members of our community safer from the risk of injury and death as a result of fire in the home. This has never been more vital as our population ages at an unprecedented rate.

The draft strategy document sets out a range of information and proposals. Its accompanying questionnaire is intended to gather views on these proposals before the finished strategy is produced later in the year.

Below is a link to the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service website where you will find a draft copy of the strategy and the consultation questions. These can either be completed on line or by downloading the questionnaire and returning to the postal address supplied. The consultation will run until 31 May 2011.
