The Trust’s purposes - or objects - cover a range of charitable activities such as:

1.) Helping people who are in need - for example because they are elderly, disabled, poor, physically or mentally ill, lonely or frightened

2.) Providing facilities (such as buildings and equipment) or services to give people more opportunity for:
- Education and personal development
- Taking part in recreation, leisure pursuits or amateur sport
- Taking part in, or enjoying, arts, culture and science

3.) Supporting things which benefit the people of Stratford. For instance:
- Protecting the environment
- Preserving our heritage
- Promoting human rights and social harmony
- Promoting Christianity and other religions
- Preventing crime
- Civic pride
