Helping voluntary sector a priority

Strengthening the role and work of the voluntary and community sector will be one of the top priorities in the Stratford District over the next few years.
The District Partnership’s new Sustainable Community Strategy lists 60 priority actions to improve residents’ quality of life by 2026 - and two of them are developing new sources of funding for the sector and recruiting more volunteers.
VASA Chief Officer Julia Phillips says: “The fact that strengthening the sector is seen as a priority is recognition of the vital work by hundreds of volunteers and the need to sustain them”.
