Escape Board Recruitment
Added on Wed 26th May 2010 by Trevor (Marketing and Communications Manager)
Escape Community Arts in Action is looking for new voluntary Board members to help pilot this innovative participatory arts organisation, as it develops new areas of sustainable business.
Escape is a limited company and a registered charity. It has received significant investment from the Arts Council, and Warwickshire County Council to expand its activities and develop new sources of income from supplying creative programmes to hard-to-reach groups, including young people and those supported by Social Care. Details of its programme can be seen on http://escapeworkshop.co.uk .
Board members meet up to 6 times per year, in Stratford-upon-Avon. An induction pack is currently being constructed for prospective Board members. An interest in the arts is a useful qualification.
Specific strengths that Escape are interested in bringing to its Board of Trustees are as follows:
- Experience of policy-making in the fields of Health and Social Care (including Personal Payments), Crime reduction, or Justice and Young People
- Company regulations and Governance
- Marketing and publicity
If you are interested in helping this organisation grow then we would like to hear from you. In the first instance, please contact Tim Harris of Cultural Consortium (Consultants who are assisting on Escape’s organisational development) on (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) who will be pleased to brief you on Escape.
