How We Work

How we work as a non profit is vital to the way in which we are perceived by our clients. The more transparent we are about how we work, the more input we get from the individuals in our district. In short, we plan our activities around the needs of our community.

Our core services – community transport, volunteer recruitment and support and advice services – help us identify the need in each locality within our district. We reach out to the individuals and groups in each community and offer our advice and support on the set up and management of the services they wish to deliver. Working with community groups to pin point which services are needed is essential for us to get the right mix of services in a certain area.  Some are more focussed on the youth and others on the elderly.

We are very privileged to have a large number of volunteers too!  Our volunteers are the backbone of our services and often go way beyond what is asked of them. We have a wide variety of volunteers as our services are quite diverse.  Our volunteer drivers take clients to medical and other appointments that help them overcome medical issues and those pertaining to social isolation and loneliness.

Other volunteers help with administration, marketing, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, befriending, community events and carer respite.  Working in partnership is very important to us as we achieve more reach into communities through those partnerships.

We work closely with Stratford District Council, Age UK, SpringfieldMIND, Stratford Town Trust, Warwickshire County Council, Tyler House, CAB, and other community non profit groups.
