Local Charities Day Training – if you can be involved do book asap

If you haven’t heard about Local Charities Day, it’s an initiative from the Office for Civil Society within Department of Culture Media and Sport and is taking place on 16 December this year.  It aims to raise awareness of small, local charities to make sure they get the recognition they deserve.teachingis-thegreatest-actof-optimism-3

As part of Local Charities Day, with funding from Office for Civil Society within Department for Culture Media and Sport, the FSI will be delivering 28 workshops and 560 delegate places in eight different cities across the UK! On Local Charities Day itself they will deliver 20 online webinars with 400 places! The workshops are aimed at small, local charities and are free to attend.

In eight different cities, the FSI will be running 3 x 1 hour workshops all on the same day, covering a range of fundraising topics. Click here to book on to a training.

The day in Birmingham is on 7th December and the three courses are on Fundraising Strategy, Corporate Fundraising and TRusrs & Foundations.

On Local Charities Day itself, they will be running 20 webinars throughout the day on a variety of topics. Click here to book on to a webinar.

Please note that the workshop course and materials are free of charge to FSI Small Charity Members (membership is free for small charities under £1.5 million). You will need to pay £25 as a deposit when you book. The FSI will refund the deposit, retaining the £5 booking fee, upon the full day attendance to the course. Deposits will not be returned in cases of partial attendance.
