Youth Shelter opening

Stratford Town Trust, Stratford District Council, Orbit Housing and Warwickshire Police are opening a new youth shelter at Trevelyan Crescent/Drayton Avenue Green, Bishopton on Sat 13th March with a ‘community day’ starting at 1-30pm. The event is open to anyone, young and old, from Bishopton and beyond to come along, get to know each other, make new friends, and join in activities including a community football game, climbing wall and skate ramp. SDC Beacon Marketplace

Stratford District Council is holding a Beacon marketplace at the Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre on March 12 to showcase how the council and its partners are delivering innovative services through joint working with universities and using technology to target the vulnerable. There will be over 70 stands featuring both the statutory agencies and voluntary and community organisations. SDC will also be launching its new digital TV channel. The council is organising free transport to the event for residents in Stratford, Shipston, Southam, Alcester, Bidford and Henley. Stratford Arts Showcase (in assocaition with The Bear Pit)

Between Friday 12 and Sunday 14 March a showcase of arts will take place at Stratford Civic Hall.  Events and performances include poetry, arts and crafts, theatre, live music and comedy. 

Friday 12 March: 2pm-5pm ‘Arts4all’.  Arts and Craft Exhibitions from Stratford’s Visual Arts Groups
Friday 12 March: 8pm ‘Comedy Burps’.  Classic comedy sketches and live music
Saturday 13 March: 10am-5pm ‘Artsfest’.  Exhibitions and entertainment from the Visual and Performing Arts Groups
Saturday 13 March: 7.30pm ‘The Best Bits’.  Presented by the Performing Arts Groups
Sunday 14 March: 10am-5pm ‘Arts5all’.  Arts and Craft Exhibitions from Stratford’s Visual Arts Groups
Sunday 14 March: 8pm ‘Stratford Symphony Orchestra’.  Classical music concert

Entry is free to all daytime events and performances, entry to evening events is £8 (£6 concessions), tickets available from the Civic Hall Box Office.

Partnership Forum

Stratford District LSP is holding a one-day Partnership Forum to celebrate the benefits of partnership working to communities and individuals. It will enable voluntary and community organisations to check that the new Sustainable Community Strategy and the LSP are on the right track- and also provide opportunities to identify new ways to work together.
