Coventry and Warwickshire CDA
The Coventry and Warwickshire Co-operative Development Agency (CWCDA) is one of the largest co-operative development agencies in the country. Operating as a not-for-profit organisation we provide free, high quality, professional business support for local people to create and sustain all types of social enterprises as well as deliver a range of other activity which promotes financial and economic inclusion. We aim to be leading advisers and consultants in employee ownership, people centered economic development and social enterprise.

CWCDA undertakes a wide range of projects within Coventry and Warwickshire. The CWCDA staff team are highly innovative and have a proven track record in developing creative solutions and approaches to their work. CWCDA is actively involved in partnerships with many other organisations and agencies in Coventry and Warwickshire and the West Midlands region which allows us to address needs in the community.

Independent Advocacy
We represent the interests of people who may find it difficult to be heard or speak out for themselves. These can include older people, those with disabilities and those with mental health problems.
With the support of trained staff, we provide an advocacy and appointee service. This gives a voice to people who need support to make their own choices because they are frail or disabled or because of financial or social circumstances. It also enables them to have their individual needs and views respected and acted upon.
We offer a free professional service for adult residents of North Warwickshire, South Warwickshire and Rugby Borough who are known to the disability, older people’s and learning disability services. We are funded by Warwickshire Adult Health and Community Services and Warwickshire Primary Care Trust.
We have over 14 years of expertise and, for those people who do not meet the contracted criteria, our services can be purchased by individuals and other organisations.
