The Governance Game

Follow the (mis)fortunes of the Borchester Charity, which has been operating successfully for a number of years.  However, recently it has been experiencing some issues and lurches from minor hiccup to major disaster in the space of a few short months.  Participants will have the chance to comment on the actions of the fictional trustee board, discuss how they would deal with the situation and, hopefully, improve their own governance skills in the process.  For those who are, or may be thinking about becoming a trustee or committee member, this session will offer a useful insight into good governance, the pitfalls to avoid and possible solutions to real life situations.

Who would benefit?  Committee Members/Trustees/Directors of Community Groups or larger Voluntary Organisations /volunteers or staff of the above. There is no restriction on numbers per organisation, so this is an opportunity for staff and Trustees to learn together.
